great atmosphere (feel like you're having breakfast at your grandma's house! If you don't recognize some of the dishware from your childhood I'd be surprised) and wonderful food if a bit overpriced...
A breath of fresh air for Victoria, unique flavors and a excellent staff and atmosphere. I make it a regular stop when I'm in Victoria.
An excellent alternative diner.
Very innovative food. So flavorful and lots of healthy options. Definitely worth waiting in line to eat there. Known for their brunch, they recently opened for dinner - no surprise it's fabulous too!
I have enjoyed having weekend breakfasts at Lady Marmalade pretty much ever since it first opened. The food is great and the people serving the food are fun. One thing that I came across on my last visit....I was reminded that the people who work in the kitchen are very strong minded....don't ask for the top half of the bagel, it might mean that you don't get welcomed by a friendly face the next time around...."it's all about me any way", even if you are the one paying for it. I'm getting used to the "not so fantastico" new generation of the restaurant industry. It is still fun though!
The service was bad, the food took way too long to prepare, some dishes were not washed that well, and the portions were too small for even a 120 pound woman. It wasn't a fine dining restaurant, so the portions were a bit of a surprise. The food was good although.
Sounds as though you hit a bad day!
My favourite breakfast joint in Victoria
Small, crowded little place a little too funky for food snobs.
Food is always good, always consistant, service sometimes lacks but I think it's because the kitchen is too small and can't keep up
